El Pacto del Olvido investigates the historical silence about the civil war and Franco's regime, its intergenerational transmission and its effects on those born after the dictatorship: How do we relate to the past? Who recounts it? How do recount it? What language do we use to describe what happened?

Through an autofictional text, combining personal experiences, accounts, and documents collected during the research; the performance advocates the value of collecting different perspectives through memory and oral history, pointing out the edges of collective silence, and questioning the "official" narratives of history and their processes of transmission. Immaterial elements, such as light and sound, evoke personal and collective memories, including those of the author's grandmother, who lived through the Civil War, the post-war period and the dictatorship.
